Hello all,

So I plan on putting this Bond Note into the website but I am unsure whether it belongs in Banknotes or exonumia. Hope to hear some guidance on this thanks!

Exonumia, I would say.

We probably have to do regular purges and need a definitive list what can be added unless we want exonumia to become an uncontrolled dump once again.

Hello, so I want to point out that while Bonds don't behave like traditional currency they do certainly have a place within the Numista catalogue as seen here:

It is very clear that someone has allowed this to be uploaded to the website. My argument is while bond notes do not behave like traditional currency, it is still backed up by that currency at the time and thus I do believe it belongs within the exonumia catalogue.

We have much stuff that get added here without much thought, especially under exonumia and to a lesser extent banknotes.

Personally I don't care who validated the request, I just state what Xavier said about them.

As far as I am aware, a bond is a glorified loan or IOU for corporations or governments.

Nothing I would call money or would mistake for money.

Yes they have a worth but so have shares.

Unless a new area called Scripophily is added to the site, bond certificates don't belong here. They're not banknotes, fantasy notes, local script, or advertising notes.

However, If there was an Scripophily area, I could add a few:
