good health to all, tell me how to distinguish a fake?

regards, Yuri

It looks like a rotation error. Not a fake.

 Both normal. Fakes are:

1. Poor quality design - either side

2. Poor edge lettering

3. Poor alignment

4. Sometimes reverse design does not match the year

then I think it's worth adding the edge to the catalog?

Not sure which page you looked at, but it is already there.

The page was created in 2007 and four years later in 2011 I added the edge picture.

I'm talking about the inverted inscription

Every mass produced coin where the edge is inscribed and prepared before the ob- and reverse has an up and down variant.

But it is of little to no numismatic value because it is simple chance near 50:50. Only variants of coins with set orientation that differ are listed.

Here is a very small selection of possible edge variants we could but don't list:

Agreed - random. Thousands of coins a minute are minted.

They go from one machine to another, in big containers.

Adding obverse/reverse is one machine.

Adding edge lettering is another.

Nobody stands there to make sure which way up a coin is, after it

is tipped out from the container, onto a conveyor belt.

Totally random which way up the coin goes into the machine.

in Russia, this very, very rarely happens and is especially appreciated
