How to pick the ruler for posthumous coin issues? [επιλυμένο]

I want to come straight to the point:

For example, there were a lot of coins depicting Alexander the Great, even tho he was long dead when the coin was minted.

Currently, there are 70 coins on Numista which have him listed as the ruler, even tho the date range is (partly) out of his living years. 42 of these are completely outside of his lifetime.

Is this attribution desired? How should it be instead if not?

There are probably a lot of other coins with the same problem.

Ruling authority is for living ones no matter if the type is copied from previous coins or rulers.

For these Alexander coins, the ruler is the one issuing the coin and a mention “in the name of Alexander” can eventually be added in between brackets in the title.

So I could go through that list and change the ruler for all these coins to the one that is listed in that timeframe?

But what should be done with the date ranges which are between two rulers?

You can add multiple rulers. Or are you talking about missing rulers like interregnum?

I know that I can add multiple rulers. But I thought that feature is for Co-Rulers and not for coins where the Numista date range is 40 years long and 7 consecutive rulers ruled in that timeframe.

That feature can be used for both. N#1309
