hello,

I found such coin in the group of Szelągs. Looks close to this type: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces167327.html, but the letters looks strange... BZAN3

Can you help to find how to correctly listed in on Numista (for swap;))

That lettering suggests maybe Lobzenica mint? (TERNARIVS LOBZAN 3 --)
Coins struck there were generally a bit cruder, and according too our catalog they were struck in 1630... https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces96635.html
I will check some other places (WCN archive) for an image of a 1630 ternar .
Yes, as I thought.
A rather rare coin: https://wcn.pl/archive/306405
Very nice find!
(and maybe worth more than the other szelags combined)
Nice, thank you so much. I tried to find it among Szelągs, but didn't look at ternars.

By the way: Ternar = 1/6 Grosza, Szeląg = 1/3 Grosza, but they have almost the same weight. Why?

Maybe difference in silver content?

I also have this ternar in my collection (the example of WCN) and a 1626 Lobzenica ternar, and they are quite dark in color.
The szelag korunny was specified at 0.66 g and 12.5% silver by Sigismund's coinage decree of 1623. Probably the ternar is even lower fineness, explaining the size and color
Yes, silver content is a logical assumption.

Thank you again
