Mintage of Chile 20 centavos 1943

Is there a possibility that the 1943 mintage of this coin is supposed to be 39,600,000 instead of 396,000,000? None of the other Chilean coins from the same era have mintages that high, and the ownership of the 1942 and 1944 coins is about the same as 1943. It sure looks like somebody at Krause added an extra zero in error, and the printed mistake has been perpetuated for years.

Good catch. Seems reasonable and plausable. All it takes is a typo from Krause and everybody else follows suit. If only we could get confirmation from the Santiago mint. I looked on their website and i dont see where they have those resources available for the curious.
You are completely right. In earlier editions of Krause mintage figures had to be multiplied by 1.000
Somewhere between editions 2000 and 2006 they've changed this and exact mintage figures were given. Very probably the error occurred during this conversion and never was corrected.
In the picture below (from the 1984 edition) you can see the mintage for the 1943 coin was 39.600.000 and not 396.000.000
