I have an unusual post-WW II Federal Republic of Germany 10 pfennig coin that I need help determining its authenticity. Here is the obverse:

And here is the reverse:

The coin is definitely brass and has the F mint code. Looking at the edge of the coin there is a different type of metal sandwiched between the brass cladding. This type of construction is in keeping with the process used for a 1949F, 1 pfennig proof (listed in the Numista catalog under the Federal Republic of Germany section, 1949F, 1 pfennig proof, N# 284491).

Thank you in advance.
All 1949 10 pfennig coins were steel cladded with brass.

It is certainly not a proof or pattern.

the coin was in circulation for a long time - later someone has cleaned it.

When I was child i used such coins with my toy magnetic crane to load a truck....

Thank you very much for your replies. I'm totally new to the numismatic world and could probably be best described as a coin hobbyist who loves history. So I'll free up the bandwidth for the serious collectors. Thanks again - it's been a great education!
