are catalogue has this coin smooth edge, weight 5.6 g, thickness 1.5 mm

I have two coins. One is a flat edge, weight 5.53 g. , thickness is 1.7 mm. With a wider edge.
number two has round edge, weight 5.38 g. thickness 1.68. With a narrower edge.

coin one is on top. coin two bottom. You can see coin one is flat were coin two is round edge.

Is this normal for Peru coin of this time?

Peru was politicaly and economicaly in bad shape in the late 1970ies and the 1980ies. For the same reason, minting quality was quite bad in the Lima Mint; blanks were also not "first choice" and differences in weight were not uncommon.
The following coins came into my collection directly after having been released, and you can see the bad quality and weak stroke - and the apparent difference in the edges.




Real varieties ? I don´t think so.
