France: 2 euro 2020, medical research, year line missing

A year line is missing for the "Normal" version for the "normal" coin.



This is copied from the web-site historia-hamburg.de. I just got the "normal" coin from there. Pleasec add the line, so I can register my coin

I couldn't find any figures for a "normal" issue just 3 x 100.000 BU in coincards and 10.000 proof.

Here is my coin, no coin card, no anything, so even if we don't know the mintage the line has to be there?

Did you get your coin in that state from this vendor *uff*.
I personally am not sure if I could tell an UNC from a BU coin so this could simply be a de-carded BU coin.
Isn't this the whole reason you dislike the Aussi catalog of packages, once you take it out there is no way in hell to tell what is what?

​I got the coin via a friend in Munich, who buys some of the euro coins for me in the shop in Hamburg. He paid 8.90 and I paid him 8.90 Euro for that coin, so it's not anything else than a commemorative coin in so called Stgl (Stempelglanz) grade. Of course it can NOT be proven, since it has no certificate......

Spiegelglanz usually means 'proof' or rather 'proof like' but it was and is used inconsistently so in this case I would say it means BU which normally would be Stempelglanz. LINK

Only if you believe in a business strike. But I can't contribute any more to the issue maybe someone more into euro or French coins knows something more solid.

I understand that, if the French don't document what they have minted, then Numista will miss out on it, if I understand it correctly. Do you have the contact to the French referee, oh wait, I'll just post this on the French site and then we'll see....

​Unfortunately it looks like that's the "future", but I'm not happy about that, I got that coin without any certicate, card or whatever, so for me it's just a nice CIRCULATING commemorative in Unc and nothing else? Are we slowly coming to Australian conditions? The same coin in different cards each gets its own line? Crazy, but down under they have decided that's how they like it.

I don't think this is a good trend, it makes everything too HEAVY. I always thought I collected coins, but when I have to take the packing into consideration to figure out, which coin I have, it's getting really weird. Specially when the packing is not there. Just my opinion.

The simplest solution here is nobody adds a new line and you put yours in the BU line with some comment like 'impaired BU' or 'opened' etc.
