1838 Greece 10 Lepta, with edge damage - VG (High relief coin with much wear)
King Othon (Otto of Wittelsbach)
1882 Greece 5 Lepta - Fine, fairly good example.
Also some NZ shilling and sixpence upgrades, will show soon!

As promised my family of shillings of my home country.
All VF or gVF (1933)
1940 3d VF, only cost $6 - the prices of all early NZ silver shoot up astronomically above gVF.
1965 Sixpence - filled wing variety (Die break) - apologies for bad photo
Close up of each new shilling, every coin here is an upgrade!!

Bonza! I see you can get an album as well as the tube!
I have been on a buying spree of some cheaper stuff this month.
Here is my latest lot!
NZ 1951 6d - Uncirculated!!!
New Guinea 6d and 3d. Cupronickel, yet these are quite scarce now!
Papua New Guinea, 2Kina commem coin of 2008, a beautiful large Bimetal coin!
Zimbabwe bond coin set, not trusted or favoured amongst the denizens of
this unstable African country, these coins may become scarce in the future!
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

500 Drachma coin issued in 2000 as Inflation worsened more.
These all partially circulated and I brought them as they are shiny, large and Greece
is a country I have a big fascination in their coins and stamps.
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

It seems the letters and courier parcels come in different deliveries, these Fijian gems arrived a couple of hours later.
None of these photos do any of the coins justice, these things are all really shiny!
Word to the wise, a budget cell phone can only take "average" photos!
Fijian coins are easier to find in high grade than NZ ones, but UNC is still expensive.
This first year shilling is EF to EF+
1943S shilling, American minted beauty in almost UNC
1942S Florin, the American silver coins - another AU piece, the heads shots at least
bring out some shine.
Slowly but surely building up a great Fiji collection!
This mix cost me just $30 NZ, including a 1971 50 cents note, 1980s $1 and $2 and 1990s and 2000's $2 (1), $5 (2), $10 (2 but same type), $20 (1)

Nice coins & banknotes from Fiji 'Moneytane.' I want to get myself a few notes from the 1971 older series (like your 50 Cent note) one of these days.
I lived in Jamaica for 2 years (1995-1996) but was not into world currency at the time. Most of the lower denominations ($10 or $20 notes) were very limp and ragged when I came across them (& usually used a $10 or $20 for a tip). Back then the exchange rate was about $27J=$1 USD. So, while I paid dearly for these, I'm glad I got them: P-59b (I probably only saw a few of these & they were very soiled & almost falling apart, whenever I came across one, as they would have been 18 YO).
P-72c (This example was printed in 1989 so I probably saw much more of these in my 2 years there).

Now I need to find some with QEII portrait!
I have 2 x 10 Shilling Purple Banknotes from the late 1960s. Both are quite tatty though.

1934 An easy one to get probably gVF
1940 A harder date to get
1941, a much harder coin - seriously this is the most expensive NZ coin in VF except for
Waitangi Crowns, 1935 3ds and error coins, catalogued at $80 for VF, I paid $45.
1918I and 1915 Aussie Pennies, very average condition, but these are scarce dates!
You see heaps of 1919 and 1912 pennies, but how many 1915s and 1918s do you see?
1918I means the coin was minted in India (Calcutta) rather than UK due to WW1
Australia did not start minting its own pennies until 1919.

1941 Penny, and some metal residue on the inner rim!
1950 Halfpenny - a cute little scarce coin (No Halfpennies would be considered common)
I love these little coins.
Also brought a big group of decimal coins and about 85% of all that was issued
A $10 note of the 2002 series.
Gothic Florin, love that 1870!

Hello everyone.
The younger of the sons succumbed to misleading advertising,, https://www.narodnipokladnice.cz/,,( seller and manufacturer of circus coins).
The goal was to make me happy for Father's Day, which is Sunday : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Father%27s_Day
( I heard about it for the first time )
Recently, he saw me looking for and comparing tiny dirty coins ( Greek silver scrap- 500 yearsBC.ago)-so he wanted to please me.
Yes, I'm glad he's thinking of me and I've been hesitant to tell him the truth for a few hours. ( He immediately sent an e-mail to cancel the other coins in the treasury) - So the whole collection will not be just these two - they are tragic.
This is written by the seller - who knows this style knows what I'm talking about
Princess Libuše, the legendary founder of the city of Prague and the imaginary mother of the Czech nation, is commemorated for the very first time on a commemorative medal refined with pure gold and rare platinum 999/1000.
29g, 39mm
the other is:
Charles IV 13,4g ,30 mm
+ridiculous certificates +it still has folders and packaging

Stumbled across this and took a gamble.
eBay Seller whom makes his living from Magic cards, Dungeons and Dragons figurines, Military medals, etc. (and some slabbed coins). It would seem that taking photos of raw coins is a little more difficult than photos of factory sealed playing cards.
It is a solid EF with the colour on BOTH sides somewhere between half way of each photo. Based on NGC, I paid about 1/2 price including postage. Nice pickup on my pre-1962 collection.

This is one of the latest a rare Curzon Wyllie Memorial Medal Hallmarked for 1935 that was issued in his memory.
He died in 1909 when he was Assassination whilst in London.

Απόσπασμα: "Turi"Three years collecting and today I achieved my milestone: having at least one coin from each UN country.
All the 192 coins in one photo.
Impressive! I'm tempted to try something similar out now. Did you draw the map?

Yes. I drew the map and put the coins above it. But I think that the map should be many times bigger to show all the coins lol

Well done. Are you going to add the coins from the Non-UN and unrecognised states that issue their own coinage?
Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.

Yes. I have many of them. But I will need a bigger map. It doesnt have enough space to do it.

Such a lovely thing to look at. The sense of achievement cannot be summed up in words. Well done
I did a similar thing when I got my grandpa's coin 'amassment' 15 years ago and tracked what we got for the first time instead of just playing with the coins as children.

I think it would work well if you buy A3,2 or even A1 so you would have space for every country to put a coin in it.

I'm curious, what kind of plays you had with the coins and your grandfather?
Απόσπασμα: "Giobruno"I'm curious, what kind of plays you had with the coins and your grandfather?
Just a money substitute like for playing corner store, using 100 drachma coins as gold coins and sometimes throwing larger coins at my cousin.
I was imagining the little you hearing your grandfather telling where X coin came from and how is that place. Or putting these coins in a small box to play a treasure find game.
Asked that because I found out recently that one of my little cousins got interested in coins.

Cool! I liked to do it when I was a child. I collect coins since I was 8 years old.
Απόσπασμα: "Mr. Midnight"I went to a coin show and got some nice things.
here are a few of what I bought -
Thats an awesome 5 lire piece! Beautifully conditioned and I guess the hole in it gave you quite a nice discount.
It is beautiful, and the price was good.
I have mixed feelings about holed coins. It is significant damage, but it is also, authentic historical usage.
In this case the artisan who made the hole placed it carefully so as not to ruin any part of the design on both sides. Very interesting. often the hole obliterates the date or such.

That is a very good point, you are right about the damage a randomly placed hole does!
