As @konstantin says, this is a solidus/szelag/schilling of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, under SIgismund III, but it is a szelag Litewski (LIthuanian schilling) since the reverse (shield side) says SOLIDVS M D LITV 16?? https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces126670.html
It's just the coin is in a part of Numista I wouldn't want to find a coin in, governed by a hyper-specializer.
I also heard from multiple sources that Kopicki has some very questionable coin adding practices and one should use him with caution.
Now reflecting back on this comment upthread: ... the coin is in a part of Numista I wouldn't want to find a coin in, governed by a hyper-specializer.
1. I agree that it is tough to navigate the Poland-Lithuania Commonwealth section of Numista (Poland, Kingdom of, refereed by the same member, is much easier to navigate, being organized by ruler then denomination)
2. However, the hyper-specialization allowed me to get the correct date, using only Numista for reference! I admit, though, that occasionally when I gone to list a Polish coins in my Numista collection, I get pretty frustrated .
By the way. My video about the Lithuanian shillings 1625-1626, not included into any catalog. In Lithuanian with Russian subtitles only. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ilFlDJ5QXY
On the side of the coin with the S, you clearly have SIG III in the legend for SIgismund III, so this rules out Stefan Batory. Also, there is the symbol of the Vasa family in the middle of the S.
On the side of the coin with the shields, you clearly have a legend SOLIDVS M D LITV (Solidus of the Grand DUchy of Lithuania), which makes this a szelag litewski (Polish description). The szelag koronny would have SOLIDVS REG POLO...
@gdrsb is an authority on Lithuanian coins. You can trust the attributions that have been provided.
Here you can see an example of the 1626 Lithuanian schilling: (Kop.3471). https://wcn.pl/archive/178928?q=polska+szeląg+1626
You can see that the outline of the shields is not complete at the bottom, the proportions of the crown to the shields is a bit different, etc.
I think this is why @gdrsb assigned the date 1625.
