Golden Spike Commemorative Medallion, 1869-1969

I purchased this medallion back when it was issued in 1969. It was authorized by the U.S. Congress, designed by Frank Gasparro and minted at the U.S. Mint, Philadelphia. Would this still be considered a "tourist token".

If I were doing it I think I'd make it either an Historical or an Event medal under Commemorative medals or ideally an Historical Event Medal.
