My offer may cause big changes in catalogue and it can be a pain in the neck...

I surprisingly see that ottoman coins minted in some countries are being classified under those countries. Syria, Egypt, Azerbaijan...etc.. The only thing that cause this is because those coins were minted there. If a coin is minted in Cairo Mint its classified as Egypt coin...But in Egypt the coins minted in Constantinople mint was circulating as well. And there were no difference in value etc.. Its not even like euro coins even though there was eyalet system similar to federation. But if that would be the reason Ottoman coins minted in Belgrade would be classified as Serbian coins...

An ottoman coin minted in Kratovo Mint (Todays N. Macedonia) is under Turkey.

An ottoman coin minted in Baghdad Mint (Today who knows under which separatist group) listed under Iraq.

This is ridiculous. Can someone give me a logical explanation or I am offering to unite all ottoman coins under Turkey which would be easier than distribute the coins under Turkey to other related countries :D
How far are you suggesting this goes? For instance, would you place the 19th century coins of Egypt under Turkey? These form a distinct series but many were, as you say, of equivalent value to the Turkish coins. I wouldn't go along with that. However, if you are suggesting that coins struck in the same style as those of Constantinople elsewhere in the Empire be collected together, that seems reasonable.

I don't think Khedivate coins needs to go under Turkey. Only Central coins that could have been circulated in any place of empire.
What is being done for Ottoman Empire coins are classifying according to mint mark.

An example. Spanish Empire - Puerto Rico... Puerto Rico Coins were colonial coins and they were circulating only in Puerto Rico.

And its correct that this coin is catalogued under Puerto Rico.

But look at these coins. same ruler same size same weight same design and only difference is minted in...part. And this would not limit its circulation area. In Suleiman's era there were 70 state mints across the empire. Now shall we divide Ottoman coins according to this?

But as you may notice the case is different for Tunisia. Same ruler but a difference face value only circulating in Tunisia because it was an autonomous governorate

So I am suggesting, coins under central authority to be united.

Hello

I agree some consistency would be good, but I don't think all coins should be moved in one place. This would be inconsistent with other countries.

See for example the Spanish Empire:
Spain, Guatemala, Chile, Peru, etc

Holy Roman Empire:
Dortmund, Frankfurt, etc

British Empire:
South Africa, Australia, United Kingdom, etc

...and many others.
